Obituary for Arthur A. Flamino
Arthur A. Flamino, 74, of New Castle passed away the evening of September 19, 2021 at UPMC Jameson.
Born on August 26, 1947 in Utica, New York he was the son of the late Arthur F. and Rachel Singe Flamino.
Art is survived by his beloved wife the former Rosemarie DiMuccio who he married on October 23, 1971.
Art was very proud to be self- employed for the last thirty years and still currently working as owner of Jen Plaza Maintenance. Working at his own business was his hobby and passion. Previously he had worked for Smith Paving, Inc. Art truly enjoyed working and never thought of it as “just a job”.
Art was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.
Art enjoyed attending New Castle High School Sports events. He also enjoyed visiting casinos and traveling to Las Vegas to see his cousins. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Art’s pride and joy were his four granddaughters and attending their many activities.
In addition to his wife, Art is survived by his two children, Artie Flamino of New Castle and Jennifer Babusci (Tony) of Pittsburgh, PA, his sister, Donna Flamino DiMuccio (John), of Youngstown, OH and four granddaughters, Maria, Gianna, Nina and Sofia.
In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Flamino
Visitation will be on Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate.
Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
