Obituary for Anthony R. Barletto

Anthony R. Barletto, 75, of Neshannock Township drove up to Heaven in a VW Bug the evening of August 15, 2021.

Born on June 12, 1946 in New Castle he was the son of the late Albert T. and Josephine DiGaetano Barletto.

On May 12, 1990 Anthony married his beloved wife the former, Linda A. Cunningham. She survives at home.

In the early years Anthony had worked for the Clausen Company. He later worked as an Adult Education Teacher in Youngstown. Anthony retired from the maintenance department of Hill View Manor.

Anthony had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Anthony was the founder of New Castle Corvette Club in the 1980’s and a member of the Old Volkswagon of Lawrence County Car Club, due to his love of classic cars, especially, Corvettes and VW’s. He enjoyed being in the out doors going hunting and fishing. Anthony enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets to search for Antiques. One of his favorite meals was a good steak and frog legs. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Anthony’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by his two sons, Roger A. Bucci and his wife Stacy and Martin D. Barletto all of New Castle, his sister, Kathy Benson of New Castle and his grandson, Roger G. Bucci.

In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his sister Kathy’s longtime companion, Donald “Ducky” Pisciuneri.

Honoring the families wishes, a private service will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 3000 Wilmington Rd. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.

Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
