Obituary for Melvin C. Caldwell
Melvin C. Caldwell, 71, of New Castle, Pa went home to be with the Lord on March 18, 2021.
Born April 29, 1949 in Washington, PA to Samuel Caldwell Jr. and Mildred Campbell Caldwell.
Melvin was a 1968 graduate of Trinity High School in Washington Pa and 1972 graduate of Culver-Stockton College where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education.
On February 14, 2000, he married Cheryl Klein-Caldwell, with whom he has shared 21 years of joyful union.
Melvin was employed as a courier. Melvin was an avid sports fan and enjoyed automobiles, nutrition and holistic living.
In addition to his wife and mother, Melvin is survived by children Christian (Angela) Caldwell of Washington Pa, Carrie (Gary) Johnson of Sharon, PA, and Shawn (Jessica) Snodgrass of Wheeling, WV. Melvin has eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Melvin was preceded in death by his father and brothers Duane and Calvin.
Viewing services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Jubilee Ministries International City Church, located at 14 E Chartes St., New Castle, PA 16102. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Dr. Mark Kauffman will officiate the service.
Arrangements are by the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
