Obituary for Betty Wangler (Melchiorre)
Betty Wangler, 87, of New Castle passed away the morning of November 20, 2019 at UPMC Jameson.
Born on February 8, 1932 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and Dorothy Domenica Melchiorre.
On October 25, 1958 Betty married her beloved husband, Robert Wangler who preceded her in death on January 9, 1994.
Betty was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vincent de Paul Site.
Betty enjoyed playing cards and talking on the phone. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her sisters and all of her nieces and nephews.
Betty is survived by her sisters, Dolores Delio, Jennifer Lombardo, and Josephine Bovo all of New Castle, her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Melchiorre, her three sisters, Gertrude Crudell, Helen Marcucci and Olga Vitullo.
Visitation will be on Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vincent de Paul Site. Father Anthony Sciarappa will officiate.
Entombment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
