Obituary for Armand N. "Bert" Bertolino
Armand (Bert) N. Bertolino, 93, formerly of North Vine Street passed away the morning of September 17, 2019 at UPMC Jameson.
Born on September 3, 1926 in New Castle he was the son of the late John and Mary Grace Ginocchi Bertolino.
He was married to his loving wife, the former Mildred J. Farbo who preceded him in death on July 24, 2016.
Armand had been a member of Holy Spirit Parish.
Armand had worked for Johnson Bronze for over twenty-five years, before he retired.
He enjoyed carpentry work and taking care of his home. Armand was known as “Mr. Fix It” because he enjoyed fixing things.
Armand is survived by his daughter, Karen Calhoun of New Castle, and two grandchildren, Jourdan Calhoun and Meaghan Hansen and her husband John.
In addition to his parents and wife, Armand was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Julian and Josephine Campbell and three brother, Anthony, Sammy and John Bertolino.
Visitation will be on Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mil St.
A Blessing Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. Deacon John Carran will officiate.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
