Obituary for Eleanor M. Rossi (Bucci)
Eleanor M. Rossi, 95, formerly of New Castle passed away the evening of September 11, 2019 in Macomb, Michigan.
Born on December 1, 1923 in Volant, PA she was the daughter of the late Biaggio and Grazia Emanuele Bucci.
On January 6, 1945 Eleanor married Daniel A. Rossi and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1980.
Eleanor had been a member of Holy Spirit Parish.
Eleanor was a former member of the Ladies of The Dukes. She enjoyed crocheting, and making afghans for her friends and family. Eleanor also enjoyed cooking her Italian dishes for her family. Eleanor’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her son-in-law, David Shovan of Marine City, MI., two grandchildren, Justin Shovan, Marie (Adam) Dziedzic and three great- grandchildren, Mara Dziedzic, Lane Dziedzic, and Henrik Dziedzic.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Shovan, six brothers, David, Anthony, Eugene, Ralph, Jimmy and Ted Butch, and her sister, Erma Lucas.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
