Obituary for Dorothy J. Marburger (Candioto)
Dorothy J. Marburger, 92, of New Castle passed the evening of September 13, 2019 at UPMC Jameson.
Born on May 29, 1927 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late George Candioto, Sr. and Sarah Williams Candioto.
Dorothy married her first husband, George H. Stamp and he preceded her in death in 1983. She then was married to Omar Marburger who preceded her in death in 2014.
Dorothy had been a waitress for many years serving folks at the Steakhouse Restaurant, Hudson Lunch and Fountain Inn.
Dorothy attended Clifton Flats Alliance Church.
Some of Dorothy’s favorite past times were playing in a Kitchen Band and organizing parties for Senior Citizens, but her greatest joy was the time she spent traveling with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Glenda Law of Pasadena, TX, Darlene Llamas of La Vernia, TX and Debbie Smith of New Castle, her sister, Shirley Reynolds of Dallas, GA, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Frye, one brother, George Candioto, Jr. and one sister, Clara Helle.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Jarod Mills will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
