Obituary for Ronald E. Brest
Ronald E. Brest, 55, of New Castle passed away the evening of July 30, 2019 at his residence.
Born on July 24, 1964 in New Castle he was the son of the late William Brest, Sr. and Alice Mae Walker. Ron is survived by his step-father, Neal Walker of New Castle.
On October 7, 1983 he married the former Brenda Pauletich and she survives at home.
Ron had worked for New Castle Fruit and Produce and also for Tire Express.
Ron was an avid Birdwatcher and nature lover. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and step-father, Ron is survived by his daughters, Crystal Gibbs and her husband Doug Gibbs, II of New Castle, Michelle Brest of New Castle, Jennifer Smith and her husband Shawn of New Castle, three brothers, William Brest of New Castle, Jeffery Brest of Florida, and Larry Brest of New Castle, three sisters, Kemy Savage, Charlene Savage and Crystal Koziol, all of New Castle, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Savage and Sue Ann Brest.
Visitation will be on Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.
