Obituary for Nicholas S. Caldararo

Nicholas (Nick) S. Caldararo, 88, formerly of New Castle passed away July 23, 2019 at Cranberry Place in Cranberry Township.

Born in New Castle on December 27, 1930, Nick was the son of the late Romeo, Sr. and Concetta (Connie) Josephine DiSanti Caldararo. Nick was a devoted member of Croton United Methodist Church, which he prided himself with perfect attendance, never missing a service for over fifty years.

He was the original founder of Nick’s Auto Body in New Castle. He loved riding his motorcycle for the past fifty years and sitting in his chair in the driveway watching the cars passing by. He enjoyed yard work, especially planting flowers. Above all else, Nick cherished the times with his family. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Nick is survived by his children, Kathy (John ) Congini of Columbus, OH, John (Gail) Caldararo, Steve (Dena) Caldararo, both of New Castle, brothers, Harry Caldararo of New Castle, Romeo Caldararo, Jr of Harlansburg, his eight grandchildren, David Congini, Kylie (Nick) Pearson, Kristen Caldararo, Jennifer Caldararo, Steven Caldararo, Stephanie Caldararo, Shane (Desiree) Caldararo, Chaise Caldararo, five great grandchildren and one on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and infant twin grandchildren, Nicholas and Nicole Caldararo.

Visitation is Thursday from 3pm to 7pm and Friday 10am to 11am at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.

A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11am. Burial will take place at Castleview Cemetery.
