Obituary for Mary Piccari Panasewicz

Mary Piccari Panasewicz, 102, formerly of Neshannock Woods and Cunningham Ave. passed away the morning of July 12, 2019 at Edison Manor on her 102nd birthday.

Mary was born in New Castle on July 12, 1917 to the late Leo and Antonetta Biasucci Piccari. She was also lovingly raised by the late Maria Piccari Toscano.

Mary married Edmond Panasewicz on May 24, 1939 and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1974.

Mary was a lifelong member of St. Vitus Church now Holy Spirit Parish. In her early years Mary had worked for the National Pants Factory.

Mary is survived by her children, Anita Guyton and her husband Mike of New Castle, Edmond Panasewicz (Panavich) and his wife Pat of Columbia, South Carolina, Gary Panasewicz of New Castle, her sister, Norma Fiorito of New Castle, four grandchildren, Patrick Guyton and his wife Gretchen, Jason Panavich and his wife Allison, Carolyn Cantwell and her husband Mike, Alyssa DeSimone and her husband Eric and one great-grandchild, Piper Guyton.

In addition to her parents and Maria Toscano Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony (Tosk) and Louis Toscano, three sisters, Lee Piccari, Caroline Toskin, and Florence Yanucil.

Visitation will be on Monday 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.

A Blessing Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 12:00 p.m. by Father Victor Molka, Jr. of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
