Obituary for Alissa M. Jones
Alissa M. Jones, 19, a lifelong resident of West Pittsburg passed away the evening of July 2, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 7, 2000. Alissa is survived by her parents, Norman Jones and Phyllis Whitlock Jones.
Alissa was a 2019 graduate of Greenbrier East High School in West Virginia where she had graduated with a 4.0 average. She had received a scholarship to attend West Virginia Wesleyan College this fall. Alissa was very proud of the four years she spent as a member of Jr. ROTC.
In addition to her parents Alissa is survived by her two brothers, Joseph Jones and T.J. Morgan, Four sisters April Jones, Heather Jones and Edward Finley, Cheyenne Morgan and Cody Morgan, step-father, Troy Morgan, paternal grandmother, Mariann Jones, paternal grandfather, Steve Whitlock, nieces, Aliyah and Alivia Stalczynski, and Mia Finley, nephew, Jonathan Finley, uncles, David Jones, Mike Jones and his wife Jennifer, Billy, Jerry and Kenny Whitlock and their families.
Alissa was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Norman Jones and maternal grandmother, Sue Whitlock.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A Blessing Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Father Thomas Sparacino will officiate.
Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
