Obituary for Vera Miller
Vera Miller, 89, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of June 22, 2019 at her residence.
Born in Morgantown, WV, on August 10, 1929, Vera was the daughter of the late Adam and Florence Eicher Thompson. Preceding her in death in 1972, was her husband, Jack Miller, Sr.
Vera attended New Covenant EPC Church. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, cooking, baking and shopping. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Vera is survived by her three children, Michael (Susan) Miller of Ellwood City, Larry (Carol) Miller of Ellwood City, Carrie (Gary) Forbes of New Castle, daughter-in-law, Linda Miller of Ellwood City, sisters, Florence McCrobie of Koppel, PA, Pearl McGilton of Morgantown, WV, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Vera is preceded in death by her son, Jack Miller, Jr., great grandson, Cory Harrington and four sisters, Vivian Rule, Rose Summy, Adeline Thompson and Amanda Fleming.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11am to 1pm at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St followed by a service at 1pm at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Richard Nero.
Burial will take place at St. Marks Lutheran Cemetery.
