Obituary for Isabel K. Alberico (Nocera)

Isabel K. Alberico, 91, of New Castle passed away the morning of June 9, 2019 at UPMC Jameson.

Born on September 23, 1927 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late Louis and Virginia Pacella Nocera.

Isabel had worked as a nurse's aid at St. Francis Hospital. She then had worked at Shenango Pottery.

Isabel was a member of St. Vitus Church.

She was a former member of the St. Vitus choir and Mary's Kitchen Band. Isabel enjoyed gardening and baking bread, but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Isabel is survived by her four daughters, Kathy Howley and her husband Bill of New Castle, Carol Kerr and her husband John of Rodgers, Oh, Ann Badger and her husband Joseph of New Wilmington, Diane Walczak and her husband Ron of Prospect, PA, her son, Michael Alberico and his wife Laurie of New Castle, her brother, Louis Nocera of Koppel, PA, two sisters, Molly Mazzant and Rita Mazzant both of Ellwood City, eighteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Isabel was preceded in death by two brothers, Julius and Anthony Nocera and one sister Mary Vellone.

Visitation will be on Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.

A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vitus Church at 10:00 a.m. Father Victor Molka, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
