Obituary for Yvonne L. Sainato (Perrotta)
Yvonne L. Sainato, 88, of Union Township passed away the evening of May 26, 2019 at Jameson Care Center.
Born on December 13, 1930 in Homewood, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Philip J. and Rose Gizzi Perrotta.
On November 23, 1957 she married her beloved husband, Ralph A. Sainato who preceded her in death on July 21, 1971.
Yvonne had worked for the Jewel Tea Co., U.S. Steel in Ellwood City and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Employment Office before retiring after twenty-two years.
Yvonne enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles and reading, and she devoted her life to her son, Chris.
Yvonne was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Parish.
She is survived by her son, Chris Sainato of New Castle and her sister, Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Leitera of New Castle.
In addition to her parents and husband, Yvonne was preceded in death by her brother, Fred J. Perrotta and sister, Mary Nancy Tomelleo DelVecchio.
Visitation will be on Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent DePaul Church at 10:00 a.m conducted by Father Michael DeMartinis, cousin of Yvonne.
Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
