Obituary for Shirley Jane Hesidenz (McNeish)
Shirley Jane Hesidenz, 83, of New Bedford passed away the morning of May 24, 2019 at UPMC Passavant.
Born on February 14, 1936 in New Castle she was daughter of the late Theodore McNeish and Evelyn McNeish Fuleno.
On August 12, 1964 she married her beloved husband, Victor Hesidenz, Sr. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1987.
Shirley had worked at the Overlook Nursing Home.
Shirley loved playing Bingo and enjoyed reading. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her children, Cathy DeHaven and her husband Timothy of New Castle, Cheryl Lukacs and her husband Donald, Victor Hesidenz, Jr. and his wife Rachel all of New Bedford, her brother, John Collins of New Castle, her sister Peggy Grebe of Pensacola, FL, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her two daughters, Betty June Baxter and Nancy Ann Hesidenz, her sister, Annie Johnson, her brother, Jimmy Collins and one grandson, Donald Lukacs.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
