Obituary for Condita "Connie" Turco (Ardingo)
Condita (Connie) C. Turco, 97, formerly of New Castle passed away the afternoon of May 16, 2019 at Mapleview Country Villa in Chardon, Ohio.
Born on July 8, 1921 in Compotosto, Italy she was the daughter of the late Peter and Marianna Onofri Ardingo.
On December 9, 1944 she married her beloved husband, Ralph Turco who preceded her in death on May 4, 1994.
Connie had worked for Haney’s Furniture and Marlin’s Furniture Stores.
She was an active member of St. Vitus Church where she had been a former Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Ladies Guild. Connie also enjoyed sewing and attending Prime Timers at Clen Moore Presbyterian Church.
Connie is survived by her children, David Turco and his wife Vicki of Thompson, Ohio, Robert Turco and his wife Kathy of Chesterfield, MO, her brother, Angelo Ardingo of Champion, Ohio, her sister Jean Ciambotti of White Oak, Pa., six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vitus Church at 10:00 a.m. Father Anthony Sciarappa will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
