Obituary for Alexander B. Russo
Alexander B. Russo, 81, of Union Township passed away the evening of May 17, 2019 peacefully at his home with his wife and daughter by his side.
Born on December 2, 1937 in New Castle he was the son of the late Agostino and Eleanor Razzino Russo.
On December 22, 1979 he married his beloved wife the former Anna Simeone Luptak and she survives.
Alex had worked for B&W Steel in the fitting department and later at Vo-Tech as a Custodian until he retired.
Alex was a member of St. Vitus Church. He loved playing Bocce and played in many leagues.
In addition to his wife, Alex is survived by his son, Michael Russo and step children, Lisa Luptak and Robert Luptak, his sisters, Florence Ludovici, Laura Perrett, Jennie Guido and Eleanor Trott, and one step-grandchild, Eris Luptak.
In addition to his parents, Alex was preceded in death by his four sisters, Angeline Casacchia, Josephine Russo, Katie Palumbo and Concetta Johns, and one infant brother, John Russo.
In honoring his wishes there are no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vitus Church. Father William Siple will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
