Obituary for Anthony "Neno" Frasso
Anthony (Neno) Frasso, 89, of New Castle passed away the morning of May 16, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice.
Born on December 11, 1929 in Pietramelara, Caserta, Italy he was the son of the late Phillip and Angeline Sciola Frasso.
On March 22, 1951 he married his beloved wife the former Vergie L. Davis who survives at home.
Anthony proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for twenty one years as a Chief Boatswain’s Mate. He later worked for Rockwell International for twenty five years and Sears Department Store before he retired.
Anthony was a member of St. Vitus Church.
He was an active member of the Italian American Veterans Group, American Legion post 343, and the Lawrence County Veterans Council. Anthony served on the Board of Directors of Family First Credit Union.
In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by his children, Phillip A. Frasso and his wife Diane of New Castle, grandchildren, Phillip A. Frasso, Jr. and his wife Nicole, Leeanne M. Lutton and her husband Ryan and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his daughter, Jesse Arlene Frasso. Visitation will be on Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Rights at the funeral home on Monday. A Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Deacon John Carran.
Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
