Obituary for Edward F. Westrick Jr.
Edward F. Westrick, Jr., 67, of Scott Township, passed away the afternoon of April 22, 2019 at his residence.
Born on August 7, 1951 in New Castle he was the son of the late Edward Westrick, Sr. and Olga Dudash Westrick.
On September 17, 1977 he married his beloved wife, the former Linda Elisco who survives at home.
Ed had worked for Penn Power and then First Energy Corp. before he retired.
He was a member of St. Vitus Church.
Ed enjoyed working in his yard and was known as “Mr. Fix It”, as he would fix things for everyone. He was a true family man and loved spending all his free time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his sons, Dr. Edward Westrick and his wife Bria of Gibsonia, Pa, Craig Westrick and his wife Sally of Valencia, Pa, his sister, Deborah McConnell and her husband Dennis of New Castle and six grandchildren, Ailee, Ansen, Astor, Madden, Lucy and Lily.
Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 12:00 for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vitus Church at 12:30. Father Joseph McCaffrey will officiate.
Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
