Obituary for Catherine Minteer (McClain)
Catherine Minteer, a long time resident of New Castle, was called home to our Lord, with family at her bedside, on Tuesday March 12, 2019 at Jameson Hospital, at the age of 95.
Born on December 24, 1923, she was one of five daughters to the late Glenn and Jennie McClain.
A loving mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed reading novels, jig-saw puzzles and listening to gospel music.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children, Darlene E. Burton and David Mercer along with 6 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Her family will remember her as the hard working, strong willed woman who believed in the importance of Jesus, Family and Love. Her wittiness and humor will continue to be shared and passed down through her family and friends.
