Obituary for Joanne White (Maxwell)
Joanne White, 79, of Shenango Township passed away on March 11, 2019 at the Avalon Nursing Center.
Born on November 25, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Lester L. and Elizabeth McCaskey Maxwell.
She was married to her beloved husband, Robert White and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2000.
Joanne was the Office Manager of their Family Auction business until she retired. Joanne was an active member of Savannah Methodist Church where she participated in their clubs such as the Over 55 Club, UMW of Savannah Church, and the Ruth Circle of Savannah Church.
Joanne is survived by her four children, Janis (Robert) Pherson of New Castle, Jessica (Joseph) Martone of Texas, Roberta (Joseph) Monsour of New Castle, Rebecca (Edward) Wilson of New Castle, two sisters, Mary Edna Porter of New Castle and Donna Bailey of Redmond, Washington, eight grandchildren, Abbey and Matthew Pherson, Jayme and Joseph Martone, Shannon and Steven O’Brian, Tucker Tillin and Nicolas Wilson and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Joanne was preceded in death by her two brothers, James Lyle Maxwell and Walter Maxwell.
Visitation will be on Wednesday 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Mark Goswicks will officiate.
Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery.
