Obituary for Bruce (Dan) Hasson Sr.
Bruce (Dan) Hasson Sr., 67, of Union Township, passed away February 21, 2019 at the Oakland Veterans Hospital.
Born on February 3, 1952 in New Bedford, Mass. he was the son of Joseph and Elsie Mello Hasson. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in New Castle.
Dan had worked as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. Dan was a member and served as secretary of the El Fityet Allaween Syrian Association. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. Dan enjoyed bike riding and also riding motorcycles.
Dan is survived by his son, Bruce D. Hasson Jr. and his wife Ida of Evans, Georgia, three brothers, James Hasson, William Hasson, Joseph Hasson, all of New Castle, two sisters, Donna Potoczny, Mary Lou Lutz both of New Castle and one granddaughter, Sabrina.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Rohn Stearns. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military rights on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
