Obituary for Susan Ray McKay
Susan Ray McKay, 56, of Union Township passed away peacefully the evening of February 19, 2019 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital after a long brave fight with breast cancer and multiple myeloma.
Born on August 24, 1962 in New Castle, Susan was the daughter of Ray and Leola Matthews McKay. Her parents reside in Union Township.
Susan graduated from Union High School in 1980. She was a graduate of the ITT School of Business and worked in the offices of Dr. DeSimone for over twenty years. Susan enjoyed her job and her customers, helping many to pick out the perfect pair of glasses or learn how to use their contacts. She loved spending time with her children and family. Susan delighted in decorating the house for each holiday. Her displays were loved by all who passed by. She was also an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed painting.
In addition to her parents, Susan is survived by her children, Joshua Lombardo and Jennifer Lombardo, sisters, Debra Vargo and Wendy Barba and her husband Michael, and her Corgi, Bella.
Susan is preceded in death by her infant twins, James and Jonathon.
Visitation is Saturday from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. followed by a service at 1:00PM at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate.
Burial will take place at Parkside Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Aunt Carole McKay and all the family and friends that offered their time, love and support during Susan’s extended illness.
