Obituary for Ralph L. Martone
Ralph L. Martone, 92, of New Castle, passed away the morning of February 14, 2019 at his residence.
Born on October 2, 1926 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Serafino Martone.
On October 1, 1955, he married his beloved wife, the former Margaret Masuelli who preceded him in death on February 14, 2016.
Ralph was a bricklayer by trade and owned Ralph’s Fireplace Center for many years. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. Ralph was also a member of the Bricklayers Union of Western PA, and enjoyed gardening and his woodworking.
Ralph is survived by his children, Ralph A. Martone and his wife Denise of Grampian, Pa, Anthony Martone and his wife Robyn of New Castle, Mary Menniti and her husband John of Pittsburgh, Pa., Joseph Martone and his wife Jessica of Austin, TX, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ralph was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Berkos and his grandson, Michael A. Martone.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be in Parkside Cemetery.
