Lois I. Stambul, 90, of Bessemer, passed away the evening of January 1, 2019 at The Grove at New Castle.

Born on April 1, 1928 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Mary Hamed Hamett.

Lois was married to her beloved husband, Milan Stambul for sixty seven years when he preceded her in death on July 12, 2018.

Lois was known as being a very hard worker who worked for several local industries over the years. She was a member of Christ the King Parish. Lois enjoyed bingo and will be remembered as always being a caretaker as she would help anyone.

Lois is survived by her Foster son, Yuless Aucoin and his wife Anita Louise of Louisiana, her brother, Isaac Hamett, sisters, Marian Buttopietro, Katherine Hassen and Diane Hamett, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, Roy, John and Abe Hamett and her sister, Sylvia Blackner.

Honoring her wishes there are no calling hours and the service is private.

Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery.
