Brian T. Herbert, 40, of New Castle, passed away on December 23, 2018.

Born on December 20, 1978 in Lakewood, OH, his father, David Herbert preceded him in death and his mother, Colleen McDowell survives in New Castle.

Brian was a graduate of Laurel High School where he had been an outstanding athlete in football, basketball and baseball. Brian worked as a material handler for Arconic Corp. in Cranberry. He also enjoyed golfing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Boston Celtic fan.

In addition to his mother, Brian is survived by his former wife, Cassandra Walter, his son, David C. Herbert of New Castle and his brother, Cory Herbert of New Castle, two uncles, one aunt and several cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.

A memorial service will be performed at the funeral home on Saturday at 4:00 pm with Rev. Matthew Bupp officiating.

Interment will be in Parkside Cemetery.
