Pete Demos, 89, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 23, 2018 at UPMC Jameson.

Born on May 18, 1929 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Frank and Maria Stephanou Demos.

Pete married his beloved wife, Lucille Cook in 1949, and she preceded him in death in March of 2002.

Pete owned and operated a Tavern in Chicago for more than 45 years before retiring and returning to New Castle. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War Era. Pete always enjoyed his work, watching sports and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Pete is survived by his children, Toni Demos of Cranberry Township, PA and Pete D. Demos of New Castle, his sister, Bessie Maragos of Minneapolis, MN and one grandchild, Frankilyn Demos.

In addition to his parents and wife Pete was preceded in death by his son, Frank Demos, and three brothers, Chris, James and Anthony Demos.

Visitation will be on Wednesday 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.

A service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Rites at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.
