Joseph A.  Kraus
Joseph A. Kraus, 82, of Neshannock Township, passed away the morning of December 16, 2018 at his residence.

Born on October 17, 1936 in Grosslasseln, Transylvania, Romania, he was the son of the late Josef and Rosina Schotsch Kraus.

On June 21, 1958 he married his beloved wife, the former Maria Kralj who preceded him in death on June 29, 2018.

Joseph was a millworker for Commercial Intertech where he retired in 1996. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Joseph enjoyed doing carpentry work. He was also a member of the Eintracht Singing Society Branch 25. He was known as the German Juke Box because of his love of music and playing his harmonica, always the life of the party, A Good Time Charlie.

Joseph is survived by his children, Rosemarie Montini and her husband Pete, Hans Kraus and his wife Monica and Helmut Kraus and his wife Susan all of New Castle, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents and wife, Joseph was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Johann Hans Kraus and George Kraus.

There will be visitation on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A service will be conducted on Friday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. David A. Snyder of St. John Lutheran Church.

Interment will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
