Obituary for James A. White

James A.  White
James A. White, 64, of Edinburg, passed away the morning of December 16, 2018 at his residence.

Born on July 19, 1954 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Harry James and Ruth Sellers White.

James was a fitter and welder for Dearing Compressor and T. Bruce Campbell. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. James enjoyed playing pool, fishing and playing scrabble and dice with his friends. He was also an avid Steelers fan. He will be greatly missed by his cat, Socks.

James is survived his brother, Scott White and his sister, Ruthellen “Suz” Data, both of New Castle.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley White.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate. Following the service, The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Rights at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Veterans section at Parkside Cemetery.
