Obituary for Mary Carol Peluso
Mary Carol Peluso, 89, of Shenango Township, passed away the morning of December 9, 2018 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born in Beaver Falls, PA on June 7, 1929, Mary was the daughter of the late J. Theodore and Flora Carlton Whitla.
She was a member of St. Vitus Church. Mary retired after twenty five years from People’s Bank where she had worked as the Executive Secretary to the President.
Mary enjoyed knitting, working crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy. Most important to her was the time spent surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Lynn Seitz and her husband Dennis of Norcross, GA, Gina Colangelo and her husband Tom, Barbara Nicholson and her husband Tim and Mary Louise Peluso; all of New Castle; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her daughter, Laura A. DeSimone, former husband, Ralph S. Peluso, two brothers, William and Theodore Whitla and her two sisters, Ruth Arlow and Janie Hannum.
Visitation is Wednesday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 12:00PM for St. Vitus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30PM.
Burial will take place at Parkside Cemetery.
