Obituary for John E. Marino Jr.
John E. Marino, Jr., 88, of New Castle passed away the morning of December 9, 2018 at his residence.
Born on August 11, 1930 in New Castle, he was the son of the late John E. and Marie Cis Marino.
On May 29, 1952 he married his beloved wife, the former Concetta (Connie) Carbone who survives at home.
John had worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Johnson Bronze, Matthew Conveyor in Ellwood and later for Herr-Voss in Callery, Pa where he retired. He was a member of St. Vitus Church where he was past president of Holy Name Society and had been named as Man of the Year. John served his country in the U.S. Navy. John enjoyed wood working, especially cabinet making and spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, John is survived by his children, Daniel Marino and his wife Jodi of Volant, Gerald Marino and his wife Leanne of Cranberry Twp., Steven Marino and his wife Jeanne of Cranberry Twp. and Lori Marino and her husband Larry Bandas of Wayne, NJ, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Pamela Ann Marino.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday for St. Vitus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Father Joseph McCaffrey.
Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum where the New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Rights.
