Marjorie A. Hare, 92, formerly of Penn Blvd. passed away the evening of November 17. 2018 at Quality of Life Living Center.

Born on September 8, 1926 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Carl G. And Mildred Harry Holmes. On June 2, 1945 she married her beloved husband, Jack Hare who preceded her in death on March 15, 2009.

Marjorie had worked for Sotus Candy as a store clerk. Marjorie enjoyed needlepoint, knitting and making many pictures and quilts for her family and friends. She also enjoyed sports, especially the Steelers, and taking care of her cats.

Marjorie is survived by two sons, Randy Hare and his wife Mary Jo of New Castle, and Gary Hare and his wife Judy of Wampum, five grandchildren, Randy S. Hare and wife Tricia, Kiley A. Hendry and husband Jonathan, Brandy Neilson and husband Jake, Jason Hare and wife Dana, Justin Hare and wife Kelly, fourteen great grandchildren, Jared, Autumn, Evan, Ryan, Ethan, Alivia, Kaitlyn, Lindsey, Jenna, Cassie, Abby, Josie, Elijah and Haley.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by an infant brother, Norman Wallace Holmes.

A private service will be held at the Ed and Don Decarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, officiated by Pastor Cliff Reynolds of Word Alive Church in Ellwood City.

Interment will take place in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
