Obituary for James E. DeHaven Sr.

James E. DeHaven, Sr, 77, of Pulaski, passed away the morning of October 16, 2018 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born on May 9, 1941 in Glen Richey, PA, he was the son of the late Herman H. and Elsie Yohe DeHaven.

On July 25, 1965, he married his beloved wife, the former Elizabeth Dunlap and she survives.

James worked as a driver for 422 Auto Sales and also at The Apple Castle. He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. James also enjoyed fishing, camping, waching NASCAR, and attending demolition derbies at county fairs.

He was a member of New Bedford Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife James is survived by his four children, Timothy DeHaven and his wife Cathy of New Castle, James DeHaven and his wife Pamela of Midlothian, VA, Brian DeHaven and his wife Vickie of New Castle, and Rhonda DeHaven of Pulaski, a brother, Larry DeHaven of Coitsville, OH and one sister, Patricia Richards of Pulaski, PA, 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be held Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A service will be conducted on Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Doug Runyon of New Bedford Presbyterian Church.

Interment will take place in Americas Cemetery in Hermitage, PA.
