Obituary for Rosemarie Nero

Rosemarie Nero, 90, of New Castle, passed away the morning of September 19, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Akron, OH on October 1, 1927, Rosemarie was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Biasella Granato. Preceding her in death on November 2, 1999 was her husband, Charles A. Nero who she married on September 3, 1949.

Rosemarie was a member of St. Vitus Church. In her earlier years she had worked for Augustine’s Pizza. She enjoyed baking and cooking. Rosemarie cherished all the times she spent surrounded by her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two children, Rev. Richard C. Nero, D.D. and his wife Darlene, Linda Blashak, both of New Castle; her grandchildren, Amanda Saylor and her husband James, Jason McGuire and her two great-grandchildren, Madison Saylor and James Richard Saylor. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemarie is preceded in death by her brother, Frank Granato and her son-in-law, Ken Blashak.

Visitation is Friday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St.

A procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday morning at 9:00AM for St. Vitus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM officiated by Rev. Father Frank Almade.

Burial will take place at St. Vitus Cemetery.
