Robert J.  Walthall
Robert J. Walthall, 88, of New Castle, PA, passed away the morning of September 6, 2018 at his residence. Born on February 21, 1930 in Glenn Morrison, WV, he was the son of the late Robert and Lilly Oda Waller Walthall. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 50 years, the former Corrouda Cox, whom he married on December 16, 1967.

Robert retired as a Youth Development Advisor for YDC in New Castle. He was a member of St. Luke AME Zion Church. Robert also worked as a steel worker for Pentex. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his children, Elsie Belinda Allen of Columbus, OH, Olenthia Diane Rinehart and husband the late Robert of Columbus, OH, Nancy Regina Doster and husband Robert of Columbia, SC, Charles G. Walthall of Columbus, OH, Tara L. Molina of Pittsburgh, PA, and Kira L. Davis and wife Starlette of New Castle, PA, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Jeffery Walthall, and sisters, Kira Evelyn Dodson, Ann Harrison, Louise Waller, and Ida Mae Towns.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00pm at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Dr. Rosalyne Mitchell-Martin of St. Luke AME Zion Church and Reverend Robert Mills of St. Paul Baptist Church.

Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
