Rosemarie R. Stunkard, 79, of New Castle, passed away the evening of September 2, 2018 at Edison Manor. Born on August 27, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Helen Swartz Pecovish. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel M. Stunkard, who passed away May 13, 2008.

Rosemarie retired as a phone operator for Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Rosemarie also belonged to the American Business Women Association.

Rosemarie is survived by her children, Michele Sementilli of Wesley Chapel, FL, Karlin Newton of Leesburg, FL, Amy Fryer of New Zealand, and Michael J. Stunkard of Deridder, LA; sisters, Virginia Vigliotti of Somerset, PA, Marycarol Knapp of Cincinnati, OH, and Betty Ann Jones of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John J. Pecovish.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Memorial services will be conducted Monday at 12:00pm at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Michael Spicuzza of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.
