Anthony F.  Gidaro
Anthony F. Gidaro, 55, of Union Township, passed away the evening of September 3, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born on September 12, 1962 in New Castle. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Alphonsina “Florence” Sanfelice. Surviving at home is his wife of 18 years, the former Julie Kennedy, whom he married on July 22, 2000.

Anthony worked as a glass inspector for Consolidated Glass with the Glaziers Local Union 847. He was a member of St. Vitus Church. Anthony enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and playing cards. A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, his favorite time of the year was Christmas with his family.

In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by his children, Anthony Gidaro and Ryan Gidaro, both of New Castle; stepchildren, Nicole Rich of New Castle, Jessica Leasure of Pulaski, PA, and Justin Taylor of Conway, PA; sister, Denise Vanazia of New Castle; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Friday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father William Siple.

Interment will take place in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
