Obituary for William George Tuscano

William George Tuscano, 78, of East Palestine, OH, passed away the evening of July 22, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center. Born on May 25, 1940 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Nicholas J. and Helen Ross Tuscano. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 35 years, the former Mary Jo Kerr, whom he married on October 23, 1982.

William earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Catholic University of America. He served as a member of the U.S. Air Force as a survival specialist during the Vietnam War. After 30 years of working, William retired as a teacher for Western Beaver High School in Industry, PA, teaching Latin, English, and Composition. Following retirement, he worked for 15 years at PGT Trucking in Monaca, PA. He was a member of St. Vitus Church and belonged to the American Legion. William enjoyed golfing, reading, and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas H. Tuscano.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Friday at 10:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father William Siple.

Entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will conduct military rites at the mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Rd., Canfield, OH 44406.
