Dorothy A.  Roselli
Dorothy A. Roselli, 99, formerly of Neshannock Township, passed away the evening of July 22, 2018 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born on September 7, 1918 in New Castle, she was only 46 days away from her 100th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Mastropietro Cast. On January 1, 1944, she married her beloved husband, Louis J. Roselli Sr., and the two of them spent over 56 years together until he preceded her in death on July 4, 2000.

Dorothy had worked as a cup handler for Shenango China for 20 years. A devoted member of St. Vitus Church, she belonged to the church’s Christian Mothers. Dorothy also was a member of Clen-Moore Prime Timers. She enjoyed caring for her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Louis J. Roselli Jr. and wife Marcie of New Castle and Marcia A. Nuzzo of Cranberry Township, PA; sister, Rose Scardefield of New Castle; four grandchildren, Ryan Roselli and his wife Michele, Regina Smarrelli and her husband Joseph Jr., Jennifer Freyermuth and her husband Kenneth, and Christa Weigold and her husband Josh; and six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Bryan, and Louie Roselli, Sophia and Joey Smarrelli, and Mason Weigold. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Tony, and Frank Cast; sisters, Catherine Bloise, Theresa Offredo, Mary Manto, Josephine Fortuna, and Helen DeVincentis; and son-in-law, David Nuzzo.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father Frank Almade.

Entombment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
