Obituary for Emil Grigger

Emil Grigger, 89, of New Castle, passed away the evening of July 14, 2018 at Haven Convalescent Home. Born on Augsut 26, 1928 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Cibulka Grigger. On October 4, 1956, he married his beloved wife, the former Helen B. Braho, and the two of them spent over 54 years together until she preceded him in death on November 20, 2010.

A graduate of West Technical High School in 1946, Emil retired as a metallurgist for General Motors. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. Emil always will be remembered as a wonderful uncle who cherished the time he spent with his family.

Emil is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Grigger.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank Dr. M. Abul-Ela and the staff at Haven Convalescent Home for their wonderful care. They also ask that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
