Michael D.  Stull Sr.
Michael D. Stull, Sr., 87, of New Castle passed away the evening of July 2, 2018 at his residence.

Born in New Castle on August 15, 1930, Michael was the son of the late Josiah and Antoinette Letera Stull.

Surviving at home is his loving wife of over sixty three years, the former Rita Merolillo whom he married on September 11, 1954.

Michael was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country during the Korean War where he earned two bronze stars.

Michael retired after forty two years working as a machine operator for the P&LE Railroad. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his wife, Rita, Michael is survived by his three children, Donna Houk and her husband Gary of Volant, PA, Michael Stull, Jr. and his wife Yasmene of Volant, PA, David Stull and his wife Dianna of New Castle; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, great grandson, Dominick Stull and his brother, George Stull.

Visitation is Thursday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home 941 S. Mill St.

The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military rites at the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:15AM.

A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30AM for St. Vincent de Paul Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM.

Burial will take place at St. Lucy Cemetery.
