Franklin "Dale"  Nuzzo
Franklin “Dale” Nuzzo, 81, of New Castle, passed away the morning of June 14, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born on October 14, 1936 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Sam and Rose Masello Nuzzo. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 55 years, the former Madalaine Pecoraro, whom he married on September 15, 1962.

Dale retired after working as an appliance salesman for Sears after 30 years of working. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. A devoted member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Dale was an usher for the church. He enjoyed fishing, especially his Canadian trips with Dr. Elisco. Dale was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and Boston Celtics fan.

In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by his daughter, Diana Lynn Rankin and husband Jason of New Castle; brothers, Bart Nuzzo and John Nuzzo, both of New Castle; sisters, Rosemarie Giancola of Boardman, OH and Cecelia Perrotta of Pulaski, PA; and grandchildren, Jordan, Sophia, and Jasilyn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Elliott, Virginia DePinto, Helen Annarella, and Catherine Pezzone, and brothers, Joseph, Sam, and Tony Nuzzo.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will conduct military rites Tuesday at 10:00am at the funeral home. A procession will leave the funeral home Tuesday at 10:15am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Church.

Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
