Obituary for Anna Caravaggio

Anna  Caravaggio
Anna Caravaggio, 75, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of June 12, 2018 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on June 12, 1943 in Baia e Latina, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Umberto and Luisa DiCerbo Conte. On August 8, 1964, she married her beloved husband, Harry B. Caravaggio Jr., and the two of them spent over 53 years together until he preceded her in death on August 31, 2017.

Anna retired as a shipping supervisor for NEPCO/Portola Packaging after 30 years of working. She was a member of St. Vitus Church.

Anna is survived by her children, Harry Caravaggio III and wife Kay of Sewickley, PA and Marc Caravaggio and wife Renee of New Castle; brothers, Giovanni “John” Conte of South Carolina and Giuseppe “Joe” Conte of New York; sisters, Onorina Riccio of Italy, Elena Ricci of Providence, RI, and Giovannina “Jennie” Canzano of New Castle; and granddaughter, Spencer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Maria Cunti and Irma DiMuccio.

Visitation will be held Friday from 9:30am to 11:00am at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A procession will leave the funeral home Friday at 11:00am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father William Siple.

Entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum.
