Robert "Philco"  Pacillo
Lifelong Hillsville resident Robert “Philco” Pacillo, 76, passed away the evening of June 8, 2018 at Jameson Care Center. Born on December 9, 1941 in Hillsville, PA, he was the son of the late Venanzio and Jeanette Calabrese Pacillo.

A 1959 graduate of Mohawk High School, Robert attended barber school in Florida and graduated in 1961. He was the co-owner of his barber shop for three years. He then owned Tri-State Sealer for 10 years. Robert then worked as the manager of the Palace of the Pines for 30 years until his retirement. He belonged to the Johnson Club and was a member of Christ the King Parish. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, and also loved going to casinos, especially in Las Vegas. Robert was known as a kind and very generous person who helped anyone who needed it, family and friends alike. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his sisters, Nataline Wyza and husband William Sr. of Hillsville, PA, Lucille Sallmen, Donna Hartle and husband Bernie, all of New Castle; brother-in-law, Donald Merrill Sr. of Hillsville, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony and John Pacillo, sister, Anna Marie Merrill, sisters-in-law, Barbara and Lois Pacillo, brother-in-law, Fred Sallmen, and niece, Jeanette Marie Pacillo.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Blessing services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00am at the funeral home, officiated by Father Zachary Galiyas.

Interment will be held St. Lawrence Cemetery.
