Obituary for Ronald Gallucci

Ronald Gallucci
Ronald Gallucci, 81, of Willowbrook Road, New Castle, passed away the evening of May 26, 2018 at home after a long battle with cancer with his beloved wife Helen and family at his side.

Ronald was born November 24, 1936 in New Castle, the son of late Anthony and Charlotte Gallucci, and was a graduate of New Castle high school, and a lifelong area resident.

Ron married Helen Lepore on September 12, 1959. Ron and Helen were always together, enjoying visiting with their children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter every chance they had. They looked forward to vacations, bowling, family Sunday dinners, and bus trips to the local casinos with their friends.

His greatest pride and joy was his family. “Papa” worked hard and provided for Helen and his three children. Later in life his passion became his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, where he loved spending time and experiences with each of them.

Ron started out his career as a local barber, where he made many friends and acquaintances. Ron then moved on to a very successful career at United Postal Service (UPS) where he retired after 30 years of service.

Ron was a member of St. Joseph The Worker Church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Helen; three children, Anthony Gallucci of New Castle, Ronnie (Judy) Gallucci of San Antonio, Texas, and JoAnna (Ron) Senchak of Cary, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, RJ Gallucci, Nick Gallucci, Hannah Gallucci, Anthony Gallucci, Iggy Senchak, Pia Senchak and Ella Senchak; a great granddaughter, Emma Rose Gallucci; a sister, Marie (Tata) Sheldone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from Tuesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Joseph the Worker Church, officiated by Father Michael Peck.

Entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum.
