Obituary for Joann Montini

Joann  Montini
Joann Montini, 82, of Neshannock Township, passed away the morning of May 1, 2018 at her residence.

Born in New Castle on March 28, 1936, Joann was the daughter of the late Antonio and Philomena Conti DeAugostine.

She was a member of St. Camillus Church.

Joann retired from Renas Catering where she worked as a cook. Prior to that Joann had worked as a manager for the Betty Gay Clothing Store in New Castle.

Joann’s family meant the world to her and she loved cooking and being surrounded by them for her Sunday dinners. A very sweet, kind hearted person, Joann was known to everyone as “Gram”. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Joann is survived by her two daughters, Carmen Farris of OH; Toni Lynn Montini of New Castle; her son, Pete Montini and his wife Rosemarie of New Castle; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joann is preceded in death by seven brothers, Marion, Alfred, Steve, Anthony, Frank, Albert and Louis DeAugostine; four sisters, Verna Fuleno, Nettie DeAugostine, Anna Freese and Mary McCormick.

Visitation is Friday from 4:00Pm to 7:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.

A Blessing service will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM at the funeral home officiated by Deacon John Carran.

Interment will take place at St. Vitus Cemetery.
