Obituary for Patricia Ann Dettore

Patricia Ann  Dettore
Patricia Ann Dettore of New Castle, PA, passed away on April 13th, 2018, at her home. The daughter of Margaret and Harold Johnston, she was born in Bridgewater, PA and lived in New Castle since she was four and graduated from Union High School. She was married for 64 years to Louis Gene Dettore, who survives her at home.

Fierce, funny, with an indomitable will, she was a loving wife and raised two strong sons whose spirit and tenacity match her own. She loved going to the casino and playing bingo, and she adored her dog PJ. She was also a lifelong and fervent fan of the Steelers and the Pirates. A hard worker her whole life, she worked for Bobby Brookes Baby Clothing and for her son’s printing business.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Gene; son Steven and wife Victoria; son Gene and his wife Beth Ann; grandchildren Stevie, Courtney (Brian), Christopher (fiancée Katie), Brett (April), and three great-grandchildren, Noah Christopher, Zoey Noel, and Gavin Lee. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Charles, nephew Norman Johnston, and her dog PJ.

Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:30pm at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Marsha Parrish.

Interment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
