Obituary for Myron Wright Brooks

Myron Wright  Brooks
Myron Wright Brooks, 85, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 5, 2018 at Rhodes Estates. Born on October 7, 1932 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Albert and Gladys Wright Brooks. On May 11, 1957, he married his beloved wife, the former Mary Ann Germani, and the two of them spent 36 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death on June 26, 1993.

Myron retired as a lineman for PennPower. He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1956 during the Korean War. A devoted member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Myron was the vestry for the church. He also served as a Scout Leader and Little League Coach.

Myron is survived by his children, Jeffrey Brooks of Pittsburgh, PA and Christopher Brooks and wife Nancy of Pittsburgh, PA, sister, Shirley Houk of New Castle; and grandchildren, Andrew and Alex. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Monday at 10:00am at Trinity Episcopal Church, officiated by Reverend Erin Shank of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Interment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
