Eugene  Ferrante Jr.
Eugene Ferrante Jr., 59, of New Castle, unexpectedly passed away the morning of March 21, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital of Boardman, OH. Born on March 6, 1959 in Struthers, OH, he was the son of the late Eugene Sr. and Louise Burrelli Ferrante.

Eugene had worked as a mechanic for Preston Auto Dealerships and currently worked for Kerr Automotive in Poland, OH. He enjoyed fishing and camping and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Eugene cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Eugene is survived by his children, Krystina Corrins and husband Greg of Pittsburgh, PA and James Ferrante and wife Lexi of Irwin, PA; his companion, Terri Lauro; sister, Gina Kerr of New Castle; brothers, Curt Wertz and wife Carol of New Castle, Robert Wertz and wife Elaine of Tennessee, and John Wertz and wife Alice of New Castle; grandchildren, Sofia Corrins and Dominic Ferrante; former wife, Karen Ferrante; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Wertz.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 23, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Saturday, March 24, at 11:00am at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Larry Llewellyn of Hoover Heights Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
