Obituary for Vera N. Naples

Vera N.  Naples
Vera N. Naples, 92, of New Castle, passed away the morning of March 9, 2018 at Jameson Care Center. Born on May 24, 1925 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Amato and Concetta Sforza Germani. On June 20, 1946, she married her beloved husband, Anthony F. “Pee Wee” Naples Sr., and the two of them spent over 68 years together until he preceded her in death on July 8, 2014.

In her earlier years, Vera had worked in the gold room for Shenango China. She was a member of St. Vitus Church. Known for her sauce, Vera loved cooking and baking; she also enjoyed ceramics. She cherished the time she spent with her family.

Vera is survived by her children, Anthony “Butch” Naples Jr. of Jamestown, PA and Andrea Householder and husband Dave of Ellwood City, PA, grandchildren, Melanie McIntyre Scott and husband Brian Scott and Emily McIntyre Tunstall and husband Jason Tunstall, and great-grandchild, Carter Anthony Scott. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Germani, and sisters, Mary Germani and Rose Lombardo.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Family and friends are asked to meet Tuesday at 11:00am at St. Vitus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father Zachary Galiyas.

Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
